Join Nicole Stratton, the Artistic Director for The Academy of Arts Logos Theatre, and her furry sidekick, Fidget, as they take your students on an exciting adventure to learn the fundamentals of drama, music, dance, lighting, props, costumes, and so much more-all from a biblical worldview!​

 

Whether Nicole is introducing you to new friends, teaching you a technical skill with her friend, Fidget, or inspiring you to be a better communicator, you can always count on a time of laughter and learning here in Nicole's Attic!

YOUR ELEMENTARY STUDENT WILL ENCOUNTER:

  • Theatrical elements of costumes, props, choreography, singing, sets, lighting, and sound. 

  • Communicative elements of tone, mood, body language, spatial awareness, and vocal acting. 

  • Weekly games and activities to help master their understanding of artistic concepts

  • An environment to foster creativity by a weekly "hands-on" learning approach

  • A Biblical worldview of the arts and communication!

 

INCLUDED IN THIS CURRICULUM:

  • 7 Video Episodes of Nicole's Attic, Season 1

  • 13 Resource Videos for additional instruction to pair with each episode

  • Companion Workbook with an interactive 42 lessons

  • Lesson Plan for one semester (14 weeks) OR one school year (28 weeks)

YOUR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT WILL ENCOUNTER:

  • An in-depth look at the dramatic elements of theatre and their use throughout Scripture.

  • Communicative elements used by Christ in Scripture to deliver His message.

  • An interactive study guide to prompt their ability to craft a drama with a Biblical purpose. 

  • Thought-provoking concepts demonstrating the value of the dramatic elments in communicating the Gospel. 

  • A prompting throughout the course to help them determine a Biblical worldview of the arts and communication

  • The Value of Biblical Drama Book (88 pages)

  • Companion Workbook of 48 lessons

  • Lesson Plan for one semester (16 weeks) OR one school year (32 weeks)

 

This curriculum can be used as a philosophy, Bible, and Arts Curriculum for high school students, Grades 9-12.

This curriculum is a companion guide to The Value of Biblical Drama, a Biblical philosophy of the arts written by Dr. Nicky Chavers. It is designed to provide the groundwork for your student to explore the many dramatic elements used throughout the Bible and by Christ Himself and to help them establish a Biblical worldview of the arts.
